Hey world! I don’t very often come on here to say much, and that’s probably my first plan for this little site this year is to actually use it a bit more; or, at the very least, update it a bit more to reflect who I am and what I do.
Currently, I’m a little more active over on my instagram page, but for this year I think I want to build on my portfolio a bit more – especially delving a lot more into developing my basic 2d Animation skills. I want this site to serve as a little snapshot into my interests and what I like connecting with other people on.
Also a thought I had (to encourage myself a little more) is to put some older works such as short stories and poems up here rather than having them scattered about the web, as you do. I don’t know about you but growing up right at the advent of social media and a lot of online writing and art platforms means that I have a bit of a digital footprint that’s here there and everywhere, so consolidating that into one central place will be nice.
Something else planned for the year is to just jump into more stuff rather than hanging back and procrastinating about starting. They say that good writers actually write things, so I assume the same applies to any other interest or profession, right? My biggest worry is that I’ll get to the end of something and feel like I wasted that time, so I end up wasting my time anyway worrying about that. A vicious cycle that this year I hope to break. So, if anyone has any tips on motivation and focus `I’d really appreciate them!
Anyways, signing off for the moment – hopefully I’ll pop back up in about a month or so to maybe document my progress, who knows!
